Hydrolube Plumbing Thread Sealant
Hydrolube Plumbing Thread Sealant is a high-performance anaerobic paste, suitable for use on all active metals without the need for priming. Its excellent thixotropic nature prevents migration of the sealant before or during cure to ensure the absence of system blockages. It is a Class III methacrylate ester compound offering an immediate low-pressure lock and seal, with a rated working gas pressure of 2,000 kPa.
Plumbing Thread Sealant cures in the presence of metal and absence of air. Displaying high resistance to leakage and loosening, threaded connections in fixtures, pipes, joints, valves, and fittings are bonded with a reliable, long-lasting, strong but flexible seal that withstands vibrations, pressure, and temperature variations commonly encountered in plumbing systems. Its potable water safe formulation protects against corrosion, while also being safe for use with gas, LPG, hydrocarbons, oils, and most common chemicals.

Usage
Sikaflex®-221 bonds well to a wide variety of substrates and is suitable for making permanent elastic seals . Suitable substrate materials are metals, metal primers and paint coatings (2-component systems), ceramic materials and plastics. It is ideally used for internal sealing and simple bonding applications. Seek manufacturer’s advice and perform tests on original substrates before using Sikaflex®-221 on materials prone to stress cracking. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Test with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.
