BORDO IMPACT Hex Shank Countersinks
Specifically engineered for use in impact drivers these bits are also fully compatible with conventional rotary drills.
1/4″ hex shank facilitates fast tool loading in cordless impact drivers and quick change adaptors.
For countersinking and deburring in a wide range of materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
The three fluted countersink is self centering with wide flutes and is used to provide a heavy chamfer in the entrance to a drilled hole.
This may be required to allow the correct seating for a countersunk head screw or to provide the lead in for a second machining operation such as tapping.
Use on medium to hard materials.
Resharpenable.
Manufactured from premium quality high speed steel for long service life.
Tungsten Carbide Tipped Hex Shank Ceramic Tile Drill Set
These Rotary Only ceramic tile drills provide outstanding performance and extended tool life in hard ceramic materials.
They feature a unique cutting edge geometry in conjunction with high temperature brazing to ensure reliable and accurate drilling in multiple hole applications.
Use of water cooling will extend bit life.
Although these drill bits are not recommended for drilling vitrified porcelain, their superior multi-facet tungsten carbide tip enables them to drill most materials of this type, albeit with a reduced tool life.

Cross hole countersinks are ideal for countersinking and deburring in a wide range of materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
The intersection of the hole and cone form the cutting edge on the tool.
The cone is not truly symmetrical as it is essential that the cone retreats away from the cutting edge as the tool rotates.
If this does not occur the cutting edge will lack clearance and rub rather than bite into the material.
This clearance is referred to as cutting relief.
The radially relieved single cutting edge provide fast stock removal with low vibration for chatter- free operation ensuring the smoothest finish.
These tools are best used as deburring tools, where a burr, or sharp edge, from a previous machining operation needs to be removed for cosmetic and safety reasons, however they may be used in softer materials (such as wood or plastic) to create a countersunk hole for a screw.
Single flute countersinks are ideal for countersinking and deburring in a wide range of materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
The fluted countersink cutter is used to provide a heavy chamfer in the entrance to a drilled hole.
This may be required to allow the correct seating for a countersunk head screw or to provide the lead in for a second machining operation such as tapping.
Use on light to medium materials.
Resharpenable.
M35 Cobalt High Speed Steel offers increased wear and heat resistance in alloy steels, stainless steels and other abrasive or difficult materials.
This increases tool life in all production applications.
Titanium Nitride (TiN) Coated Countersinks have a very hard gold coloured surface finish.
This coating is only a few microns thick and is achieved by Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD).
This treatment results in reduced friction, greater heat dissipation and reduced cold welding – which means higher speed and feed rates with greatly increased tool life.
As with all surface coated tools, performance will deteriorate after resharpening.
