Hole Saws & Kits
BORDO Chrome Alloy Screw (Chassis) Punch
- A screw punch, also known as a chassis punch or a knockout punch, is used to punch a hole through sheet metal.
- First drill a pilot hole in the sheet metal the same size as the bolt in the punch.
- For sizes 13mm and under a Twist drill may be used.
- For larger sizes use a Bordo step drill.
- Place the die on to the bolt and then insert this assembly through the pilot hole.
- Wind the punch onto the bolt and tighten by hand until firm.
- Turn hex head of bolt with a socket, spanner or wrench until the punch is drawn completely through the sheet metal.

Chrome Alloy Tap and Die Set
BORDO Chrome Alloy Tap & Die Set
- Metric Coarse Chrome Alloy Tap and Button Die Set
- Chrome Alloy Metric Coarse Intermediate Taps and 1″ Button Dies.
- Used as thread chasers to clean an existing thread.
- They can also be used to create a new threads in non-ferrous metals and plastics.
- Chrome alloy taps and dies are not suitable for creating precision, safety or critical threads.
- Metric Coarse angle of thread is 60 degrees.
- The crest is flat and the thread has clearance at the root allowing external thread and internal thread to engage well.
- Larger root radius and lower thread height enable easy screw thread processing and increase thread screw strength.
- The major diameter of external thread and pitch are specified by a simple numerical value (most commonly measured in millimetres).

Chucking
BORDO Chucking Fractional
- Bordo Chucking Reamers are made from premium HSS-Co.
- They feature a 10° left hand spiral for effective swarf removal.
- Right hand cutting.
- H7 hole limit (tolerance).
- Chucking reamers are used in a drill chuck or collet and are ideal for machining applications to create a sliding fit, to secure dowel pins, etc.
- Chucking reamers are characterised by a very short lead at the start.

Cobalt HSS-Co5
BORDO Cobalt HSS-Co5 Jobber Drill Fractional
- Bordo Fractional Cobalt Tough HSS-Co5 Twist Drills.
- ANSI B94-11
- 135° Split Point (crankshaft point).
- Split point is self centering and the short distance from the drill axis to the outer corners results in faster penetration, reducing the need for end thrust.
- The 135° point should be used to cut harder steel materials especially in deep hole applications.
- In these situations it will produce thicker chips minimising work hardening of the cavity.
- Faster penetration reduces abrasion and friction along the cutting edges.
- Cobalt HSS Twist drills are extremely hard and provide superior performance and increased tool life especially in stainless steel and high tensile steel.
- Bronze Finish (gold oxide) surface treatment. The metallic brown coloured low temperature temper treatment is normally only used on cobalt tools for identification purposes.
