Rapidstick™ PCT-5000 Epoxy Potting Compound is a general purpose two-component encapsulant consisting of a colourless polymer resin and a hardener. When mixed together, both components generate a chemical cross-link reaction which creates a tough, rigid, and strong compound with excellent adhesion. As a filled system, it achieves low shrinkage and has high impact resistance to vibration and thermal shock, with high resistance to chemicals, moisture, and solvents.
PCT-5000 cures at both room temperature and low temperatures and exhibits excellent thermal and electrical insulation with a multitude of advantages for coating and potting applications. The low viscosity formula has good leveling properties and fills voids and air pockets easily. It is naturally de-foaming, resists yellowing over time, has high transparency with no rippling, and a bright surface which can be directly sanded and polished once curing meets its recommended shore hardness (82D).
Typical applications include moisture-proof potting and electronics parts insulation, with primerless adhesion to most substrates. PCT-5000 bonds extremely well to printed circuit boards and electronic components, including transformers, coils, resistors, capacitors, solenoids, surface mount components, solder, and most plastics and metals.

CHEMTOOLS Rapidstick™ Polyurethane Potting Compound
Rapidstick™ PCT-6000 Polyurethane Potting Compound is a two-component thermoset plastic offering good impact and chemical resistance with excellent resistance to harsh, environmental conditions. It can be used on dissimilar materials and is ideal for delicate components, including ferrites, as well as larger components with high thermal expansion rates. The moisture-proof, elastomeric compound retains a high level of primerless adhesion with maximum reliability after cure, setting to a soft, flexible, and rubbery state, with continued resistance to abrasion.
PCT-6000 consists of a base resin with an isocyanate agent, which, upon mixing, produces an exothermic reaction to promote room temperature curing. It bonds extremely well to most substrates, insulating electronic parts such as printed circuit boards, transformers, coils, resistors, capacitors, solenoids, and surface mount components. Sanding can be achieved after cure if required.

Rapidstick™ Silicone Potting Compound is a room temperature curing RTV rubber which features excellent electrical insulation, high moisture resistance, and a wide temperature range of -60°C to 300°C. Being of relatively low viscosity, it allows complete encapsulation for weather-proofing and mechanical shock protection, and is non-corrosive to copper.
Silicone Potting Compound arrives in a two-part kit – Part A (Resin) and Part B (Hardener) – both parts of which are easily combined at a ratio of 1:1 (by volume). Mixing and application may be performed manually or mechanically, with the cured elastomer drying opaque and moderately hard.
